Assistant Lecturer

It was at the end of 2006 when I finished my A level education at Mengo Senior School and had to choose a course to do at the university. I was passionate about Computing and applied for a Bachelors degree in Computer Science at Makerere University, in Uganda which I was offered and started pursuing it in 2007. I did this degree for 3 years graduated with a First Class degree, CGPA 4.61/5. I was the fifth best Student in this computer science class that graduated on 21 st Jan 2011. Before graduating in October 2010, an organization known as AH Consulting firm offered me a Job as an IT Consultant In charge of supporting and training clients of the firm in the products it offered which were ACL, and Pentana both IT Audit Tools. I was also performing Computer System Administration duties. I later got a new Job at Makerere University where I was employed as a Teaching Assistant from September 2011 to 2015 and later as an Assistant lecturer in 2016 after obtaining my Masters degree in Medical informatics from University Of KwazuluNatal. I had earlier obtained a Postgraduate Diploma In Medical informatics from the same University In 2014. Early 2017, Mbarara University of Science and Technology a pioneer University to offer Masters degree in Health Information Technology in Uganda employed me as an Assistant lecturer in the IT Department Under Health Information Technology, where I have been working up to date.  I am so passionate about Health Informatics and in particular AI, Data Science and Machine Learning. I program using Computer languages including Python, PHP, JavaScipts, HTML and .Net. I am currently in early stages of writing a Concept for my PhD studies in Health Informatics.
