Personal Statement I am passionate about using mobile technologies to improve lives of people in low resource settings. My research is currently focused on improving maternal health care using mobile technology through developing mobile applications that are secure and usable by illiterate women. Education and training 2015 – To date: PhD in Computer Science at Humboldt University of Berlin- Germany. 2011 –2013: Masters in Computer Science at Malmo University-Sweden 2004 – 2007: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST). Research interests: Current research interest is to improve maternal healthcare by implementing mobile health (mHealth) interventions for illiterate women. Long term research interest is to implement interventions that enable illiterate people to utilize technology to improve their well being.
